How do I obtain my lab results?

The results of routine test are electronically reported to your doctor on the day of the blood collection, but at the latest within one week. However, there are some tests, such as DNA test, or pathology test which require more time because these tests are done in other labs abroad. The results of this type of tests can take between 14 days up to a month.

Patients may also come to the lab (Cay Hill, main building) to collect their results, after presenting a valid ID card. However, if the patient is unable to pick up their own results, someone else can pick up these results. The person picking up the results must have the following three items with them:

1) a signed authorized letter from the patient,

2) a copy of the patient’s ID, and

3) a valid ID of themselves.

It depends on the test.

What kind of blood test is this that I am doing? Specialist or General Physician(house doctor) never mention that I needed to do a blood test.

This will be explained at the lab.

When can I go back to the General Physician (house doctor) or specialist for the results?

The next day.

Can you please email me my results?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Tests will be sent to your house doctor and you can require the results there.
